Mark joins Hail Merry as Interim CEO after a year on the board of directors. He was the Founder and CEO of ZICO Beverages, one of the trailblazers of today's $8B coconut water category. Under his leadership, ZICO delivered nine years of explosive growth, became one of the fastest growing beverage brands in the world and was acquired by The Coca Cola Company in 2013. Next, Mark focused on stand-up-paddle surfing, hiking the high sierras, writing his first book High Hanging Fruit, and investing in and advising dozens of startups addressing important social challenges in the food, beverage and technology industries. He is co-founder of Powerplant Ventures, a fund that aims to remake our global food system to deliver better nutrition in more sustainable and ethical ways by finding, funding and supporting the best food and beverage entrepreneurs in the world. Mark received his BA in business from Marquette University and an MBA and Masters in Environment Management from Duke University. Throughout his life, he's been a dishwasher, landscaper, Peace Corps volunteer and corporate executive, but his favorite title so far is "Dad."

The native Houstonian and University of Texas at Austin design graduate started Hail Merry Snacks in 2006 after traveling to Maui where she fell in love with Superfoods and the raw food lifestyle. For Susan, “Going Raw”, an evolution of Vegan, seemed a natural progression from her decade-long yoga practice. Her journey would take her to California where she trained with famed raw food chef, Juliano Brotman. Back home in Dallas, her pool cabana would be transformed into a test kitchen for raw snacks, which were then sold into a local natural foods market. Hail Merry quickly gained a devout following of vegan, gluten-free and raw foods enthusiasts who share a love for fresh, great tasting, and pure ingredients that offer superior taste and unique side benefits.

Susan spent years designing clinical laboratories and feels right at home in a commercial kitchen. “I get to use my design skills nearly every day designing packaging, new product development and the expansion of our commercial kitchen,” states Susan. She also exclaims, “Don’t mess with a mother when it comes to the health of her children.” She is adamant about seeing to it that her kids are not riddled with toxic food additives and dyes.

Ali Brushaber is the Chief Product Officer and one of the partners of Hail Merry Snacks. Ali is known as the "Magician-in-the-Kitchen" and created products that won Best Vegan Product of the year in 2011 and again in 2014, a SOFIE Silver Award in 2014 and FABI awards (Food and Beverage Innovation) from the National Restaurant Association in 2013 and again in 2015.

Starting her career as a working chef and completing further studies at the Culinary Institute of America she then attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Food Science and Nutrition. She worked as Vice President of Food and Beverage for various restaurant chains producing award winning menus and innovative food, beverage and equipment products. Influenced by celebrity chefs Julia Child and Charlie Trotter her cuisine now focuses on simply prepared, organic food.  Her current passion is bringing healthy snacks made with organic ingredients and ‘clean labels’ to the marketplace; making good food, that tastes great, for everyone.

As Chief Operating Officer, Rick Roberts is responsible for corporate operations involving many aspects of Hail Merry’s corporate and manufacturing functions. He is accountable for leading the accounting, information systems, human resources, operations, quality assurance, purchasing, and logistical aspects of the company. His role encompasses all aspects of manufacturing award-winning desserts and snacks. Rick is responsible for not only the tactical day-to-day operations, but also for serving on the executive leadership team to help set the strategic direction of the company. All products are produced in the state of the art manufacturing facility located in Dallas, TX.
