Hail Merry is proud to be a part of the Texas Yoga Conference this year. We're actually writing this from our car as we speed down toward Houston for the event! (no, not really... but we COULD be!) For those into yoga... this event will change the way you view everything!
Over 1,000 yogis will meet this weekend at the University of St. Thomas, Jerabeck Athletic Center in Houston, TX to learn more about the art they love... The conference is held from Feb 25th to the 27th and will host 72 presentations and yoga classes from some of the world's top instructors. One of the highlights is certainly going to be MC Yogi...
From his site:
A full time yoga teacher & performing artist MC Yogi combines his knowledge of yoga
with his love for hip hop music creating an exciting new sound that brings the wisdom
of yoga to a whole new generation of modern mystics, truth seekers, and urban yogis.
There's a great article on Culture Map Houston, highlighting the event:
"It's a community event that we hope will show that Houston is a mecca for yoga," Jennifer Buergermeister, the director of CuraYoga and the event's founder, tells CultureMap. For Buergermeister, the city is a perfect fit for yoga enthusiasts.
"We have these amazing medical professionals," she says. "Also, Houston really is a diverse, cultural city. Every language on the planet is spoken here. It's the unity among all of these cultures that allies with yoga."
Hail Merry will be there all weekend giving away raw food snacks and talking to yogis about the importance of a raw or vegan diet to the practice of yoga. Swing by and try some gRAWnola! We're very spiritual about what our foods can do to your body... yoga is one of the greatest tools out there to combine physicality and exercise with spirituality. We love every opportunity we have to be around people who see that. Please come join us at the conference, and if you're planning on going already, please come by for some treats and a conversation. Namaste. =)
